In 2008, an event entitled The Bible Day and Night was organized in Rome to celebrate the Synod on the Word of God.
The project consisted of a non-stop reading of the New Testament over a 24-hour period. Its purpose was to unite parishes and help the faithful become better acquainted with Sacred Scripture. All the churches of the diocese of Rome remained opened for that 24-hour period so as to give everyone the chance to visit them and discover their spiritual and artistic treasures.
Inspired by this initiative, the Daughters of St. Paul of the Czech Republic organized a similar event in Prague with the help of their Pauline Cooperators. This year, 180 readers and more than 1600 listeners participated in it. Now in its third consecutive year, Bible24 has become an annual event in Prague, offering its citizens a time of spiritual renewal and deeper reflection on the Word of God.
