Richard Andrew M. Borello was born in Mango, near Alba (Piedmont), Italy on March 8,1916.
On July 8,1936, at die age of 20, he entered the Society of St. Paul as an aspirant Disciple of the Divine Master. Consecrating himself entirely to the Lord by means of profession of the religious vows, he generously collaborated with the Pauline priests in the work of evangelization with the instruments of social communication.
In March 1948, he offered his life to the Lord in order that all those called to the religious life might be faithful to the grace of their vocation.
The Lord accepted the offering of this good and faithful disciple. Afflicted with tuberculosis, he died a holy death in Alba on September 4,1948. He was 32 years old.
He was proclaimed "Venerable" on March 3, 1990.
