There were 64 films competing, coming from 32 different countries, which animated the Religion Today Film Festival from September 18th to the 25th. This international film festival that has thrilled the city of Trento and beyond for 27 years, brought tourists and artistic works of global scope to the city. This event spoke about faith, religion and pointed our gaze towards current events, involving the young generations. Religion Today has become a window for reflection into the future: a look at how cinema is evolving together with society, how artificial intelligence and enjoyment interact, giving rise to a real revolution through means and content which are increasingly within the user’s reach. The audience becomes creators and protagonists, shaping the market.
The international appeal of the festival was confirmed with more than 20 directors and authors participating in the event. Great attention was placed on the scholastic world with matinees dedicated to students, Master classes and in-depth events with big names from the national scene, such as the cartoonist Andrea Artusi.
