The beginning
of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
the Son of God
No, it is more than just a beginning, it is a Principle; it is Genesis, it is life that, in order to be vital and vibrant, must always start afresh. It means forever returning to the state of raw material, like clay that is constantly being shaped by the God of history.
We are people of the desert; people in Exodus. Our roots lie Elsewhere. Countless paths crisscross the earth; we are continually setting up our tents. We are always “beginning” life, always ready to tear down and rebuild, to move ahead without a lot of baggage.
We are identities in movement, forging our identity while “on the go.” Our deepest truth can be found in these moments of repeated recommencement within the eternal Principle we are called to recognize.
Each moment is an invitation to begin life anew. The Gospel invites us to live as beginners, with the passion and humility of those who are not teachers, but who are grateful for everything.
In the beginning… We are children of a life that is always just starting; we are clay that must be perpetually molded, kissed and then released. There is always a new beginning because life overcomes dead ends. It is already eternal for those who welcome each moment to start afresh.
