Aleteia.org, a major evangelization initiative for the digital world, was launched in the autumn of 2011 from Rome. Supported by the Foundation for Evangelization through the Media (FEM), its purpose is to mobilize all meaningful institutions engaged in evangelization and the media.
Aleteia, which is Greek for “truth,” is composed of about a thousand partners, including the media and Catholic institutions. The first Catholic Social Network, it wants to provide a space on the global level for seekers of the truth to share their thoughts and dialogue with one another on matters concerning the Faith (www.aleteia.org). Within the website is AdEthic (www.adethic.net), a web advertising platform that aims to provide Catholic websites with Catholic-approved advertisements. Like Aleteia, AdEthic is supported by FEM.
