Cat Chat, a word born from the fusion of Catechism and Chat, is a 15-minute programme on the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Created in a simple and creative infotainment style, it combines information with entertainment. Presented by Sr. Gemmaria Dela Cruz of the Daughters of St. Paul and Fr. Paul Marquez of the Society of St. Paul, the programme aims to promote knowledge of the Catholic faith, the meaning of the sacraments and liturgy, moral formation and a missionary spirit as an expression of gratitude to God for the gift of faith received from the first missionaries in the Philippines.

Launched on 6 April 2021, the programme is uploaded every Tuesday on Facebook and Youtube. This special year-long online catechesis is offered by the Daughters of St Paul to all Filipino Catholics, both at home and abroad, to celebrate 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines.

Viewers submit their questions in video format which the presenters show and discuss during the programme. Likewise, thoughts and messages are also posted in the comments section of Facebook and YouTube.

The catechetical apostolate was indeed very dear to Blessed James Alberione. In fact, he had inculcated in the Daughters of St. Paul the importance of catechesis in evangelisation by urging the use of modern means of communication to reach many more people. Now, in this special time of celebration of the 500th anniversary of Christianity in the Philippines, the Paulines are committed to living more deeply the legacy handed down by their Founder. Faithful to the Pauline charism they continue to serve the Lord and all the people through the various means and languages of communication.
