A Meaningful Presence

From Valencia to Valladolid, from Granada to Madrid, the significant presence of the Daughters of St. Paul at numerous book fairs this year offered our sisters and the visitors to their booths moments of fraternity, enlightenment and education.
The diffusion of our publications is always an important time for us to meet people searching for “what is beautiful, good and true.” Particularly noteworthy in these days was the presence of Jesuit author, Fr. Pedro Miguel Lamet, who for three consecutive Saturdays came to our book center to autograph his books for clients.
Speaking with these people, Fr. Lamet quoted to them the following Hindu proverb about books: “An open book is a mind that speaks. A closed book is a friend that waits. A forgotten book is a soul that forgives. And a destroyed book is a heart that weeps.”
