The First International Assembly on the Economy of Communion took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil from 25-29 May. More than 600 people took part in the event, which revolved around the theme, Protagonists Today for a New Economy.
The Assembly was held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the project’s beginning, which sprang from an idea of Chiara Lubich in 1991 to work to reduce poverty and create a society characterized by greater communion.
