Entitled “Women Cultivating Peace and Nurturing Encounter,” this event, held on March 5th, was organized by the World Union of Catholic Women’s Organizations (WUCWO), in collaboration with the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development.
This virtual gathering served as a commemoration of International Women’s Day 2024, bringing together women of diverse faiths from across the globe. Its purpose was to reflect on the crucial role women of faith play in fostering a culture of peace and dialogue. Inspired by the message of Pope Francis on the 56th World Day of Peace, particularly the words “our greatest treasure, even in the midst of fragility, is the human fraternity grounded in common divine parentage, and that no one can save themselves alone,” the event highlighted the interconnectedness of humanity and our collective responsibility to promote peace.
