To celebrate World Day of Prayer for Vocations, eleven members of the Pauline Family Team “In the Footsteps of Paul” held various activities in the parish of St. Paul the Apostle in Fondi (province of Latina) from 19-21 April. During this intensive weekend, the Pious Disciples, and Sr. Andrea Hýblová of the Daughters of St. Paul led the parishioners in a reflection on the “Our Father” and other members of the group entertained the children with games and activities focused on specific themes.
Saturday was devoted to the preparation and animation of a diocesan group known as “The Followers,” during which several testimonies of life and faith took place, including that of an engaged couple, a catechism teacher, a woman with a neurodegenerative disease, and a Franciscan friar who used magic tricks to communicate Gospel values.
During the Eucharistic celebrations on Sunday, Betka, a novice of the Pious Disciples and Sr. Andrea, FSP, both from communities in the Czech Republic, shared their testimonies of faith by recounting their personal encounters with Christ and their subsequent decision to follow in his footsteps by becoming members of the Pauline Family.
The Pauline Family Team expressed its satisfaction at how successful the weekend turned out to be and said that the event underscored the power and attraction of the Pauline Family when its different branches work together, adding that this could serve as a stimulus for future PF initiatives.
