A new Centre of Light has been opened in the midst of the darkness of the Covid pandemic in the city of Liverpool. The Daughters of St. Paul who have been present in the city since 1966, have moved to new premises in a prime location in the city. On the feast of Saints Philip and James, the Pauline Book Centre was inaugurated and blessed by Archbishop Malcolm McMahon, in the presence of a small group of people. The new structure offers several new elements: a chapel, a pastoral hub and a number of features to enrich the proposals for apostolic initiatives. The aim is to make it a Centre of Light, according to the directives of the founder, Blessed James Alberione, in the spirit of promoting the Word of God more effectively. In keeping with the Pauline tradition, the Bible has been blessed and put in a prominent place under the prophetic words of Blessed Alberione: “The Book Centre is a place where the truth and love of Jesus Christ are found and shared.”
