An international conference and a forum on Peace Journalism: the dual event, organized by the Holy See’s Dicastery for Communication, in collaboration with the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, and SIGNIS (World Catholic Association for Communications), was held at the Vatican on 13 October in preparation for the canonization of Blessed Paul VI and Blessed Óscar Arnulfo Romero.
The purpose of the event was to reflect more deeply on the theme of peace journalism by combining it with the figures of the two future saints, both witnesses to peace and both who, in different ways but with the same passion, also stimulated the means of communication to be instruments of reconciliation in the search for truth.
