Among the events that have taken place in the Catholic Church lately, one was particularly important: the First Session of the 16th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops on the theme: A Synodal Church in Mission.
Aware of the significance of this event and the fact that many Congolese Catholics have little understanding of the Synod, the Daughters of St. Paul of this circumscription created a column on their website to explain in simple language what a Synod is and its importance for the Church and society.
Entitled Synode au fil des jours (Synod Updates), the column discusses various themes of the Synod, enriched by commentaries and photos.
The sisters of this community say they were very surprised to see how much interest their column generated and that many Internet lovers followed its articles with great attention.
They tell us they are discovering more and more the power of today’s new technologies when put to good use by communicators and apostles, and have realized how important it is to use these media competently so as to reach people effectively.
