Dear Sisters,
Here is the news we were waiting for: our small community of Tacloban is safe. Sr. Noemi, the Provincial Superior, sent us the following message:
“We have received the good news that our sisters of Tacloban are safe. Although the flood waters have entered the Media Center and part of the roof of the house was blown away, it is a relief to know that the sisters have remained unharmed. The lines of communication are not working yet but the sister of Sr. Carmel who works as a nurse in a hospital in Tacloban was able to send us this information. It was announced that another typhoon is coming which will follow the route of the previous one… We have received many messages of support and prayer from the sisters around the world. We feel warmed by this demonstration of affection, support and love. We wish to thank all of you for being with us at this difficult time in our history. May the Lord bless you all.”
Let us really thank our “Queen” because she has never disappointed us. We recall the commitment made by Fr. Alberione during the construction of the shrine dedicated to her: “O Mary and Queen of the Apostles, if you will save all our lives, here we will build the church in your name.”
Let us thank this our Mother, and we continue to entrust ourselves to her, that she may continue to protect us from all danger and from all evil.
