The 3rd FSP Media Practitioners’ Assembly, organized by the Daughters of St. Paul of the Philippines and held in Pasay from 5-7 April 2011, revolved around the theme of Benedict XVI’s message for the 45th World Communications Day: “Truth, Proclamation and Authen-ticity of Life in the Digital Age.”
The meeting offered FSPs working in the areas of radio, TV, print, audiovisuals, information technology, media literacy education and the archdiocesan media office the chance to share their apostolic initiatives and map out a more effective re-sponse to the challenges they encounter in their respective ministries.
Today’s new technolo-gies are changing not only the ways people communicate with one another but communication itself. Because of this we need to seriously reflect on the meaning of communication in the digital age.
